by Brouwerij De Glazen Toren

This Imperial Witbier from the Kleinbrouwerij De Glazen Toren is a slightly cloudy, golden straw colour with a massive pure white head of tiny bubbles which flattens quickly. The smell is of orange peel, coriander, wheat and a very faint wet hay funkiness.

The flavour carries through the orange, but not in a sweet way. It compliments the distinct wheat taste, with soft coriander and cloves. The high carbonation leads to a light feeling on the palate, and aids the sharpness of the flavours.

For a witbier this is very crisp and defined, and without any real sweetness the characteristics really shine through. A great variation on a classic Belgian style.
