FAQs - Monthly Beer Club

How is delivery calculated?

We use Fastway Couriers for our deliveries.  The delivery fee is the fee charged by Fastway for delivery to different zones in Australia, from our pickup location in Newcastle, NSW.

For local (Newcastle/some Hunter Valley) deliveries, the freight charge is the same for 1 up to 4 six-packs ($6.00).

For all Sydney/Central Coast/ other Hunter Valley deliveries, the freight charge is the same for 1 up to 4 six-packs ($11.00).

For all other delivery locations, the freight charge is for 1 x 6-pack only.  Certain locations up and down the east coast of NSW may allow a cheaper rate for multiple beer packs.

What happens if we cannot accept delivery?

The beer packs can be accepted by any adult (over 18 years).  If no-one is available for receipt, Fastway will leave a calling card for you to arrange an alternative delivery time. 

Can the packs be left unattended if nobody is home?

Yes – but please note that leaving parcels unattended voids the insurance on the parcel.  You can advise us of an ‘authority to leave’ which we can note on all beer pack deliveries.  Please use the 'delivery instructions' space when setting up your profile for instructions to the courier driver.

If you are going to instruct to leave, please make sure there is a place out of the direct sunlight, where the beer won’t get too hot.  All of the beers included in the packs are bottle conditioned ales, and can be affected by heat or sunlight.

Can I add delivery instructions?

Yes – there is provision in the sign up sheet to leave a detailed note for delivery instructions.  If you’ve missed that section, and need to advise details, simply email through to us and we’ll add to the parcel.

Is there another way to pay if I don’t want to use my credit card/paypal?

Of course – you can set up a monthly direct payment to our company bank account.  Follow the process to register as a member, but don’t complete the credit card/paypal payment details.

Then send us an email and we can confirm your total monthly payment, and provide the bank account details to use.  Remember to use your name as the reference for any direct payments.

What is the minimum membership period?

We don’t have any lock-ins at all.  Quite simply, if you’ve paid for your months beer pack, we’ll send it out. 

If you want to cancel or suspend your payments, you can do so at any time.  Simply change your payment instruction (either through paypal or standing order payment).

What if I change address?

Use your member login details to access your account, and simply update your address.  Once saved, we’ll receive the address change and action for all future beer pack deliveries.

How do I increase/decrease the number of beer packs each month?

You can easily change the number of monthly beer packs you want, by adjusting your payment instructions.

What if I receive a damaged beer pack?

In the unlikely event that you receive a delivery in which any beer has been broken, please take photos of the box and broken item and either email or text the pictures through to us.

We can either refund you the cost of the broken item(s) or replace them in your next beer pack.

All claims for broken bottles must be made within 7 days of receipt of the beer pack.

When are the beer packs delivered?

Beer is only shipped once payment has been received.   Payments are scheduled to be received by the 15th of the month and we ship by the 20th of the month.  We don't ship on Fridays as we don't like the beer to be sitting in courier warehouses over a weekend, sometimes this may affect delivery times, depending on when the 15th falls.

Fastway standard delivery times are as follows:

Newcastle/some Hunter Valley  1-2 days
Sydney/Central Coast/other Hunter Valley 1-2 days
All other deliveries 2-7 days (depending on location)

 

NOTE: we reserve the right to delay delivery in the event of late arrival of stock, Customs inspections, etc.  While we will always aim to meet our deadlines above, sometimes a delay is unavoidable.  We will notify all affected customers in advance with updated delivery details.
