The first beer from our new Italian friend Rob at White Pony brewery. WTF?! is a malty, Anglo-Belgian style IPA.
The beer pours a dark orange colour, with a subdued hop aroma of tangerine, malt and pine.
There is a heavy malt backbone to the beer, typical of English style IPAs. It presents in the form of citrus fruit sweetness, with pine and grassy hops. A spicy Belgian yeast adds to the lingering bitter finish.
About the brewery: White Pony is a microbrewery located near the east coast of Italy, a little south of Venice. Rob is a passionate new brewer, with a liking for high gravity, big beers. Some of his brewing is done in the ‘tGaverhopke Brouwerij in Belgium.
